“Apps” are one of the biggest changes in the SharePoint landscape since Web Content Management (WCM) was introduced in SharePoint 2007. They completely change the way developers work to create customizations for SharePoint. Gone is the use of Server side SharePoint APIs and C# to be replaced by client side Javascript, REST, and CSOM. In this talk we’ll review what every developer (and IT-Pro) needs to know to get started creating “Apps”. We’ll cover topics like the following: • When to use each of the different types of Apps • How does Oauth authentication differ between SharePoint Online and On-Premise • What is NAPA? • Why do I need a Developer Site? • How do I prepare a Farm to deploy “Apps” • How do I control access to the Microsoft store
