As the modern IT landscape evolves with cloud, smartphones, BYOD and open source languages; we wanted to make sure we had sessions for systems administrators and security professionals.  DogFoodCon will be hosting a pre-conference day focused on security.  The goal is to bring with the speakers, make time to whiteboard 1:1 with them and network with other security peers.  It is an “Assume Breach” world.  Ransomware is becoming common across manufacturing, financial services, health care, public sector etc..

It is an “Assume Breach” world.  Ransomware is becoming common across manufacturing, financial services, health care, public sector etc..

  • A European manufacturer has a financial impact of 45 million pounds due to ransomware attack
  • A hypothetical scenario where a global ransomware cyberattack could inflict US $193 billion
  • The city of Atlanta ransomware attack may cost $17 million

The speakers have strong experience with on-premises and cloud technologies, Azure Active Directory, MDM, multi-factor auth and application development security.  Their work experience consists of being a premier field engineer, security consultants and solution specialists with Microsoft.  A key theme for the conference; how post breach detection continues to evolve and how to protect the front door while maintaining an “assumed breach” mindset.  We hope to see you there!
